P.E.A.C.H Outreach Program
Spend half a day exploring Cashew Ridge Park by foot. This trek is an excellent choice if you don’t have time for a full-day or overnight trip. The early morning tour starts early enough to enjoy the sounds of the forest waking up. The afternoon tour finishes at dusk, so you can enjoy the quiet calm of the nighttime forest. Bring your own food and water.
As your tour guide, I’ll help you disconnect from your everyday world, so you can immerse yourself in nature and reconnect with yourself.
P.E.A.C.H Residential Housing Program
P.E.A.C.H. Residential is a high-accountability independent living and supportive housing program for young men ages 18 – 24.
The program was developed by Ujima Way, Inc. in 2018 as an extension of its Progressive Efforts and Approaches to Combat Homelessness (P.E.A.C.H.) program. P.E.A.C.H. Residential assists young men who are homeless, aging out of foster care, being released from jail or prison or who find themselves in some other crisis and need housing.
Young men can remain in the program for up to 18 months and pay nominal program fees for their residency. Our goal is to help them get stabilized and back on their feet and eventually transition into their own home or apartment and be able to sustain a comfortable way of living.
H.O.V.E.R. Program: Homeless Outreach Vehicle
At Ujima Way, we understand that there are a lot of people who need social aid, and we are ready to provide our services to the people of Clayton County and Metro Atlanta who are experiencing homelessness or find themselves in a tight spot and in need of support. Through our Homelessness Outreach Vehicle and Emergency Responder (H.O.V.E.R.) unit we offer progressive outreach services to unsheltered homeless citizens who are in need – for details, contact us at 1-855-GAHOVER.
As a socially responsible and progressive service provider, we endeavor to reach out to as many people as we can serve. To do this, we take great strides to make sure our staff and volunteers are well-trained and equipped to provide our customers with help through meaningful services and support that will improve the quality of their lives. We provide limited volunteer opportunities for those willing to assist with our on-site street efforts as well as non-contact opportunities for those preferring to work behind the scene or beyond physical contact.
